Export face as DXF

I see how I can right click a sketch and "Save as DXF" for laser cutting, but what if I want to export the shape of a face that I don't have a sketch for. In the following screenshot, I actually would have a sketch for the blue face, but if I didn't and I wanted to just get that exact shape (including dimensions) out to a DXF so I could cut it, how might I do that?

While an extra step,  you can create a sketch on that face (or a plane offset from that face) and just project the edges to the sketch plane and then save the sketch as dxf for laser cutting

I thought about projection, but didn't think about projecting the edges, so that's definitely helpful. Thanks. It would be much easier if there were a shortcut to select a number of sketch edges such as double clicking the face created by a set of edges or double clicking any of the edges. Or perhaps right clicking a face and seeing an option in the context menu to Select Edges.
