It means you need to use the dashboard to export the design, try the link below.

Hi George

If you select the design and click through to the viewer select the download icon then select Fusion Archive.

Hi Mark ... thank you for your help ..... I went to my dashboard, exported the file " Fusion 360 Archive" I get it sent to me in an email, I download it  attach it to my posted message I hit reply then a error message comes up about the file being zipped or compressed and it won't send anything ..... I did a little test and tried to export other parts that I have drawn .... no problem I save them to my desktop they have the fusion 360 icon like they always do .... anyway I am going to erase the part and start all over again something must have corrupted it .... this has just worn me out tonight, I will pick this up first thing in the morning .... thank you again .... George

Hi Mark ..... I erased the drawing I was having trouble with, I redrew the part ( 2" x 2" x  59" with an 1/8" wall ) tubing, I can export that no problem it stays with the Fusion 360 file extension. I bring one of the end caps in to join to the end of the tubing, now when I try to export it does not give me the Fusion extension, the program gives me an error message ..... I really don't know what to do at this point, it does not stop me from drawing but if I have a question I cant attach an assembled part to my email. any thoughts

When you have external designs linked to your design Fusion uses f3z as the extension, are you saying your email program is stopping you from attaching files with the f3z extension? If that's the problem try adding it to a zip file then attach.

Hi ..... Attached you will find the two parts I am trying to put together, there is a 2' piece of tubing with 2 end caps on either end. As you can see I had no problem exporting them as single components but as soon as you put them together you cant export them in the Fusion format .... give it a try .... thank you

I know you can not export linked designs from Fusion. If you have linked parts you have to export from the dashboard as an f3z file, you can upload these through Fusion's data panel.

Here a demo of how to upload an f3z file.
