error in loft

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello. I have a geometry which i want to project on a sketch and then i wanted to make a loft through rails. but i am facing problems in selecting points for rail (line) after projecting. and then i could not loft it as it gives the error

''The loft could not be created. Try changing the inputs, swapping profiles for rails or a centerline, or adjusting the continuity conditions''.

I am attaching my model without sketch projection . PLz guide me how to fix and then how to loft my surface . if possible plz loft my sketch so it can eliminate my worries. thanks

Splines are used in its construction. You can say that i want to thickness to this surface. But i couldn't. So i choose the method of projecting sketch and then making loft (for thickness) through guide rail. But then error comes. Plz guide me.

Offset plane down 3 inch.

Project body to sketch on that plane.

Extrude sketch to Object - select surface body 12.

By extruding the shape of body changes . plz add thickness instead of extrude so that the shape will not change.

hello @Anonymous plz give always include the name @mango.freund

when answering, so that the email to whom you are answering is visible. thanks
please enter the photos directly with the camera symbol so that it is immediately visible.
Finally, I have to write to you that your loft profile does not correspond to the chair profile in any way and is therefore actually unusable. you should have several length and cross sections as a profile to get a better result.

greetings mango

I think @mango.freund's approach is most promising for this type of geometry.

This is an older model of mine and it definitely took longer than 5 minutes, but  it's completely modeled in the form environment.

I model mostly in box-view mode!

hallo @TrippyLighting  peter -- leider hat der kollege ja keine saubere drauf- seitensichten sodass man ihm gar nicht wirklich ein gutes design anbieten kann. dann kam er auch erst spaeter mit lehne und beinen an.

was soll man sagen broeselkuchen -- ich bin kein freund davon.
