Error during update as always

Hello all:

Error during update 2017-02-22 at 10.39.41 AM.png

... I've been getting this error for so long (months, years?) that I've gotten into the habit of simply re-downloading the DMG from autodesk.com every time I see the warning pop-up. Further, the warning doesn't go away when I do the "manual update" -- I think I'm current (version 2.0.2727), but it still pops up every time I start Fusion.

I do use LIttleSnitch, but it isn't blocking any Fusion/Autodesk stuff at all. (Stopping LittleSnitch all-together has no effect.)

I've attached the current log file and a screenshot showing the connections during startup.

  (Version 2.0.2727, MacOS 10.12.3, iMac)

Any ideas?

Thanks again, Colin

Hi @colin.mcdonald

Thanks for posting! It looks like you have been experiencing an "Error during update" warning in Fusion 360. The log files show that the a "database locked" error. To begin troubleshooting this issue, please delete the folders listed below from your computer:

[Windows]
1.    Delete %localappdata%\Autodesk\webdeploy
2.    Delete %localappdata%\Autodesk\Common
[Mac]
1.    Delete ""~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/webdeploy”
2.    Delete ""~/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/Common”

You may then use the automatic clean uninstall tool to remove Fusion 360 from your computer and reinstall as an Administrator.

Please let me know if this helps! If it does not I am happy to continue troubleshooting.

Hi Paul:

Thanks for the reply -- worked like a charm!

(And apologies for not more thoroughly searching to find the method myself.)

Cheers, C
