Hello everyone,
I'm kind of a newbie at Fusion 360 so sorry if I'm asking a question that has an obvious answer.
Google Sketchup has a function called Components whereby multiple identical copies of an object can be made but when a change is applied to one it is also applied to all the others no matter where they may be in the model.
Now this question has been asked before and the answer was that there is no version of Components for Fusion 360 but there is a workaround that if the original sketch or an earlier version in the timeline of that same body are modified then all instances of that body will also experience the change but this is not the same thing.
I was hoping that since the question was last asked and answered that there may be a new plugin or a better work around that I’m not aware of.
If anyone has any ideas or if you’d like me to rephrase the question or clarify it please let me know.
Please and thank you.

Hi,
Welcome to the Fusion 360 community.
There are components in Fusion 360. Have you tried searching the help menu? (instead of "shortcuts", you could type in components)
That brings results like this:
In those results, there are a few help pages you might find interesting:
Learning about bodies and components
Learning how to create components
There's probably a lot more information for you in the Help section. Please let me know if you have more questions.
Regards,
Phil, thanks so much for your answer, as it so turns out you were right, components do exist in Fusion 360 the problem was I didn't know how to use them until today! I'm currently working my way through tutorials so I would have come across them eventually but thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

If you need any help to make a transition from sketchup to fusion let me know
only thing fusion components do not is automatically cut a space where the sketchup component gets into
