Entering an architectural dimension in a sketch.

I came across a problem that I am surprised I have never stumbled upon until today. I enter sketch dimensions in architectural units (i.e. 5' 6 1/2") in fusion all day every day with no problems. I cannot for the life of me figure out the syntax to enter an architectural dimension that has 0 whole inches and a fraction of an inch, like 5' 0 1/2". I have tried all matter of spaces, no spaces, dashes, omitting the 0, and even a trick I used to have to do in an old survey program, like 5' + 1/2" and 5' + 0.5". Nothing seems to work and I guess in my line of work the measurements don't usually work out this way because I have never noticed this before. Does anyone know the magic to make this work?
