Engineering drawing cant select dimension required

Im having issues applying a dimension to the drawing shown in the screencast. It is only a problem for the side with the outlet pipe shown. The dimension always seems to snap to the edges of the pipe hence giving the incorrect dimension required. I would like it to measure the length from end to end of the vessel then another dimension end of vessel to end of pipe.

Hi alastair,

If you expand the Dimension menu (click on the toolbar panel title) there's a Linear Dimension tool there, can you try that one?  That option has some different snap settings.  We are currently working on exposing on the fly selection of which snap points you want during an active command, but that is still under development. Please let me know if that works for you.
