Enclosed, Constrained Sketch Does Not Show Profile (Blue Face)

Hello...I am a beginner in Fusion 360, however I do not understand why making an enclosed, constrained sketch with a couple of sketch lines (to form a rectangle) does not result in a blue profile that can be extruded. I have attached the Fusion 360 file. If I understand what is happening on this simple sketch to prevent a profile from being shown, I can apply it to a larger more complex sketch I am working on. Really appreciate if someone can explain it to me as there must be some limitation I am not aware of?....thanks

Profiles reside in a sketch when the boundary articles are a closed loop.

your file has 2 sketches, and neither sketch has a closed loop.

I would edit sketch 1 and close the rectangle with the 4th line.

aissdb2.PNG

Having edited the sketch there was no profile, as expected, because the profile display was turned off.

Might help....

Thank you for your reply. I did not realize (know) you can only close a sketch using a series of lines within the same sketch as opposed to using another sketch. Knew I was missing something basic. I am coming from the Tinkercad world and finding it somewhat hard to convert. Thanks so much for your reply.

P.S…thanks for reminder to check profile is enabled in the sketch palette….
