Enabling sharing does not generate public link

As per the subject, I am having an issue where selecting "Share the latest version with anyone using this public link;" does not actually generate a link.

Issue showing up on both Mac and Windows. I've shut Fusion down and restarted again to no avail.

Any ideas?

thanks!

Maybe the data hasn't quite synced to A360 just yet... Can you try again after a little while?

I'd also be curious if you enable the "Allow item to be downloaded" option, if there is any change to the dialog.

I hope that helps.

Thanks,

Same issue here. However, I started from the browser, which gave me a "something went wrong" banner. I only tried to share from Fusion when the browser approach wasn't working.  The file is an stp model that hasn't been converted to a fusion file yet.  Shows up in the browser fine, just can't create a link to share it.

"Allow item to be downloaded" isn't selectable.

Same exact problem here. No form of sharing for files works anymore.  Share option is always off and can not be turned on.  Older project file still has the share option on and sharing it works on that file. No newly created files work.

I would do a Screencast showing the process but I do not want to expose my email so I will use Screen captures.  Open your Data Panel, choose Share Public Link.  This is not available if you have a Fusion 360 Personal License.  You can decide if you want to allow download and assign a password it you like.  If you just copy the Link, the recipient will only be able to view the file in A360, if you allow Download, which I did they can open it directly in Fusion 360

When the recipient gets the email, they click on the link and A360 will open up allowing them to view the file.  If they select Open in Fusion 360 and then acknowledge the Open Link application, it will open directly in the application.

A360 1.jpg Quick and simple.

If you instead want to Share a Public Link from A360, you do basically the same process.

Please attach the file that is exhibiting this behavior.  If you have more than one, just choose one.  As you can see from my screen captures, the process does work, we just need to figure out if it your file or your setup.  You did notice this function is not available in the Fusion 360 Personal license version?  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section of a forum post to attach it.
