Editing Copied Component

Good day everyone.

Can I make a copy of a component and have the ability to edit the sketch separately from the original?

See attached part.

I want to copy this part as a new component and then edit both sketches separately from each other so I can set one of them up as my Stock in the machining operation.

Hi,

use COPY > PASTE NEW instead of COPY/PASTE

Hello.

Did you get a chance to look at my drawing? As far as I can see, there is no option to COPY and PASTE. Am I missing something or does it have something to do with the way I set up my workflow?

Hi,

Please watch the screencast.

1. I created a new component and dragged the sketches with the body into it.
2. then I copied this component via COPY & Paste New
3. the new component was then modified.
