Editing a side dimension

Hi,

I am totally new to Fusion360, i have no experience of CAD etc etc

So this is my first attempt on the very first day of a 30 day trial.

Now after sketching till this point, i realised that the length of the object which is shown as 400mm, should actually be 417mm

How do i edit it.

The 400mm appears inside (...) while all others are without (  )

I am able to modify all dimensions, except the length and width of the main sides of the sketch, both of which are within (  )

So how do i make changes to 400mm to make it 417mm

The "()" in the dimension show that this is a "driven" dimension.  Meaning, that you have too many dimensions in your model, and one of them cannot be "driving".  A simple example here:

You cannot have all 3 of these dimensions be editable.  If you edit the "(90)" dimension to 95, it would cause either the 40 or the 50 dimension to be wrong.

Here is some Fusion documentation that covers this and other sketch dimensioning topics:  Alternative Methods for Dimensioning Sketch Entities.
