Edit hard surface model with some natural deformation (dents, bends, bulges)

Hey folks,

here i come again with a new challenge for myself.

I have modeled the basic functional shape of a suitcase. File to be found here -> https://a360.co/2YA2g4i

Now i want to partly give it a "used" look with some dents here, some bulges surfaces there...

Transitioning to the sculpt environment is awfully tedious, as the body conversion is very random and produces a lot of artifacts.

I was thinking of editing those features in another program, but im really only good in fusion.

Anyone who can tell me the right workflow for this task?

Thanks so much in advance.

All the best,

Raph.

That sort of thing is the domain of Sub-D mesh modeling software. My favorite is Blender, but there are loads of other tools available (but usually aren't free open source software).

Yeah, that was the answer I had feared. Sadly Im not too proficient in Blender (yet).

Another approach I read about was to simulate an impact on the body in fusion and use the deformed model.

Anyone who can asses this approach as useful? Also are you able to export the deformed model?
