I got a Question I hope someone can help me with.

Is there a way to Edit the dimensions so there are no "lead" lines in drawings?

Hi @Mikirbay, you can't entirely remove them (If you did, how would you know what the dimension is unambiguously for?) but you can have a gap from the leading lines to the model if you choose points closest to and on the same side as where the dimension will display so that the lines don't overlap the model.

It cannot be completely eliminated, but it can be shortened depending on the point you select.

When lines overlap and are difficult to see, it is a good idea to select points that are easy to see.

So I study to become a machine carpenter (Denmark) and there we have to make the Main Drawing, where all the dimensions have to be for the whole Funiture so with all the Lead Lines is going to be messy to know what is what, I know you can do this in Inventor but I just think Fusion is a better Program. but this is one of the Small reasons we don't use it. and I was hoping fusion will have it.

Hi @Mikirbay

I'd love to understand how you are using 2D drawings in Fusion, I'd also like to see some of the existing drawings that you have with these leader lines shortened/removed. If you're up for it, here is a link to my calendar, please book a 30-minute Zoom session with me. I'd be happy to answer any questions you have about our drawings package, and I can even show you some of the new tools that are coming soon.

Every customer request that we get, from meetings, emails, forum posts etc. gets collected and categorised in our feature request database. This information is used to prioritise the features that we build next. I've added your request to our database.
