Edit an Offset in Sketch

I think I want to chnage an offset in my sketch. I have reveiwed some prior replies but theye were dated and refered to some interface changes going on.

I created a rectange then created an offset inside that rectangle then extruded the area between the two rectangles then built my model on top of that. (I don't want to disturb that work by breaking stuff).

Now I want to change the offset distance.

1) How do I do that (without breaking my extrude, ...?

2) Can an offset measure be a parameter and change with parameter changes?

3) Should I have created/used 2 rectangles rather than offset?

Thanks, Tom Meyers

A couple of quick thoughts.

The one that's a little tricky to answer is 'will I break my extrusion'? The simple answer is, no probably not. The more complicated part is.... it depends how/what you built on top of it.

Thank you. Your reply gave me the confidence that it was possible and it was.

I had to do one thing: Select the icon for offset, right click and "add offset dimension", then proceed as you described.

I didn't break my other work and that offset is now a parameter.

Thanks, Tom Meyers
