Edit a projected sketch?

I cant seem to edit a projected sketch.  I can either turn it into a construction line or back to the purple projected line that wont let me trim or edit it.

For example:

Sketch 1: Make a curved shape with the spline tool.

Start Sketch 2: Project sketch 1 onto sketch 2 and modify. Sketch 1 and 2 are on the same plane.

The only thing I can to with the projected sketch is to delete or turn into construction line that cant be edited either.

I swear before one of the recent patches I could do this.

Nevermind, I figured it out  - Break Link - turns the projected sketch to an editable sketch.

I've had the same problem and I think "break link" is not the best solution if you want to keep a parametric design. How would it be possible to make small changes like making sections of it without breaking the link? It also happens with the interaction curve, I cannot constrain any other spline to it or make sections of it without breaking the link. This is something I was used to with solidworks. I dont know if this is the best place to post my problem, but I thought the subjet is related.

The only thing you can do is change the projected curves to contusion curves then draw over them or project some of the curves again, break the link to the second set of curves and constrain to the first set of what's now construction curves.

Why would "break link" prevent parametric design? You can apply the parameters to the new sketch. What's the problem with that?

Anyone from the Fusion 360 user community can respond. I think we're not dependent on Sergio to discuss this topic.
