Edit a component without editing others

Hi,

At the moment in fusion, I'm working on a design which contains a component which I have copy and pasted multiple times, so whenever i edit one of them, all of the others are edited.

My question is this:

I want only one or two of the four of the components to have a specific detail, but whenever I edit the detail into one of the components, it applies the edit to all of them.

Does anyone know a way for me to edit one component, which has been copy and pasted so it is considered the "same component", without editing all others?

Hi @Anonymous

Yes there is a way with Fusion everything is possible 🙂 

Select your body in the Browser, Right click and select Copy

Then Select in the Browser the your parent object file right click and select "Paste New", and now you can make some changes in the new body without change anything in the original one

@Anonymous you do the same thing with components right click on the component in the tree then right click again at the top node of the tree and select paste (copy what will be edited by changing the first component it was copped from) or past new (what is a brand new component what to edit you edit it).
