Dynamic 2d sketches

Hi,

Can you make dynamic 2 dimensional sketches in fusion 360 using contraints?  Dynamic in the sense that you can make movable sketch blocks in Inventor or linkages in Force Effect?  I don't mean 3d projected onto a plane, but actual 2d sketches.

Thanks

Unfortunately, Fusion does not yet support rigid sketch blocks as those in Inventor.  You can kind of mimic this by constraining the sketch geometry of your "blocks".  For instance:

each of these two rectangles are constrained.  The upper left one is fully constrained and cannot move.  The lower right one is only internally constrained (perpendicular instead of horizontal/vertical)

In this state, the coincident constraint at the corners can act as a revolute joint:

It's admittedly not ideal, but you can make it work.

Thanks for the response and picture explanation!  I'm trying to make some 2d linkages, so the work around you suggest might get a little tricky in fusion.
