DXF Missing Paths

I'm trying to insert a DXF into a design in Fusion. Every time I try to import (online or local), there are path segments missing from some parts of the sketch that is created. I've tried exporting the DXF from Illustrator in different versions (down to R13, which is attached), but I get the same problem. I uploaded the file to A360 File Viewer and it was imported correctly, but when I saved it from A360 to Fusion the path segments were missing again.

Has anyone experienced this and/or know how to fix the problem? I'm not entirely sure the problem is with Fusion, but other programs seem to render correctly.

In the top picture you can see the missing paths in the heart. The bottom picture is from A360 File Viewer where all paths are closed, as they should be.

Hi @GMDCNC

Thank you for posting! Smiley Happy

Unfortunately, I reported this issue(FUS-27614) to development team one week ago. they are investigating it.Smiley Sad

I'm going to check it again as soon as possible and if I receive any response from them I'm going to get back to you.

And as a workaround, I would like to suggest you to use this way.

1. Open the dxf file in AutoCAD.

2. Explode "the heart" (command "x")

3. Save as DXF file. (attached file "bear_1.dxf)

4. insert dxf file to Fusion 360.

5. create a new sketch and use "project" command

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. if you need more help, please let me know.

Many thanks!

Thank you for the reply, and the DXF. Unfortunately I don't have AutoCAD, so I'll just have to wait until they get it fixed. Not sure why, but the heart still doesn't act like a closed path, so I can't extrude it.

@ahreum.ryu do you have any information about when this will be fixed? I have several projects at a standstill because DXFs will not import properly.

Hi @GMDCNC

Thank you for waiting.

Few weeks ago, I sent you private message about it. Smiley Wink

This issue has resolved through Nov Update. Did you try to update this version?

now your dxf file imported well without any issue.

@GMDCNC don't use the upload panel when you want to bring a dxf into fusion use the insert menu.

The upload of dxf is still bringing dxf in in cm so if it's 100mm squire when you upload it to fusion it will be 100 cm squire, if you use the insert menu you can select units.

We have the use of Autocad 360 you can use that to change the dxf into cm if you want to use the upload menu
