Hi,
I am trying to import DXF files to re-model architectural buildings for 3D printing.
At the moment, I am under the impression that it would be quicker to remodel in Fusion for the specific purpose of 3D printing rather than doing endless adjustements (in 3dsMax) from an unfinished Revit model (at design stage).
So I import the DXF plans and elevations into sketches and scale them down to the size of the model I want to print
The problem is that I would like to position the sketches precisely to each corner of the building so that I can quickly do extrusions or project elements as needed.
When I import the DXF they sometimes come upside down so I need to undo, create a plane at an angle (90 or - 90) and run the import process again. But sometimes they are upside down and mirrored so how can they be adjusted?
Also how do you move the sketch to its correct location? You can't move a construction plane... At the moment I create a new sketch, project everything I need, then copy and paste, and finally I can move and/or mirror the copy as needed.
This is a rather painful process..
Any tip to make this process easier would be very much appreciated!
