Hi all
I have a lot of assemblies, consisting of various components.
They look fine in 360, the orientation should be correct (top is top in the 360 file).
But when I export to DWG, it moves everything and changes the XYZ orientation?
Same if you use the online share function and download from there.
Files are attached! Please help, I am unsure why it's doing it and if I set my file up wrong. I feel like I have "Captured" all positions etc.
What am I doing wrong?
Hey SVibe,
This is happening because the Default Modeling Orientation (in preferences) is set to Y-up in your assembly design. If you open the DWG in Autocad for example, you'll be seeing the front of the assembly because Autocad's default orientation is Z-up.
If you change your settings by going to preferences > default modeling orientation > Z-up, then insert the model components in a new design, you'll have an assembly orientation that will be consistent between Fusion and any other product with a z-up orientation.
