Driving joint with a parameter

I'm trying to automate some of my manufacturing workflow by building a model of a 5th axis trunnion and using sketches and joints to generate my X&Z work offset coordinates at and given B axis angle.

So far, the sketch side is working, I can join a part to my 5th axis, set the z position relative to the centre of rotation, and use a parameter to adjust it's angular position and auto-generate my new offsets.

Where I'm coming unstuck is applying this to a revolute joints driven value. Any change to the parameter is reflected in the sketch but not in the joint.

Instead of a resolute joint, maybe rigidly attach to the sketch geometry?

Yep, looks like that will work.

I'm surprised driven joints don't update with parameters.
