Drawing truss for a double hipped roof @ 45'

Hi there fusion 360 fans!

I have been learning how to use this very BIG program and it's taking some time!

As you can see on my drawing that the truss's are not quite finished as there should be 4 more there at a 45' angle going to each corner. Were I have stopped is the angle should be inline with the top of the truss's along the front and the right. I can't seem to be able to get a construction line there so the sketch will reconise it!

What am I doing wrong? I know it's me lol

TIA

Joe

@seth.madore This should be a design forum question. But my answer would be,

Create a construction plane by 3 points. Corner intersection, top of rafters and bottom mid of rafters.

You can they create a sketch on that plane to draw what you need and/or use "p" to project the the lines from your other rafters onto the new construction plane.

As @hyperbolicindustries said, create a plane of 3 points

Then you can sketch the bar using projections or intersections

Hi there

Just had a look at the sketch you did and it is not meeting the two constructions lins with are all in line with the other truss's. I have circled the spot on the screen shot.

This is what I'm struggling with!

Many thanks Joe

Just create an intersection of the construction line in the sketch

Then drop the endpoint of the line to the intersection point

Hi Joe,

You're welcome.
I have also been learning a lot here on the forum and just share it with beginners.
