Drawing Revision Table & Rev attribute

Just adding to what seems to already be a recognized issue:

We have a title block with a REV attribute. We've been manually editing it.

We've tried to add revision blocks, and discovered that we can do that to drawings, but not yet to templates.

If I add a rev block to an existing drawing, it grabs control of (i.e. updates per the current rev shown in the table) the REV attribute - but only for that sheet. Other sheets remain stuck at what was manually populated before, and the REV attribute is now greyed out/inaccessible. This appears to be true regardless of the drawing/sheet scope setting.

Whenever I manually enter data into an attribute-linked field, it breaks the link and won't auto-update/overwrite my entry, which is the behavior I expect.

I tried replicating your situation by manually entering a REV in the title block, and then applied a Revision Block. The REV did not update from the manual entry, and I was unable to edit the REV field until the revision block was removed from the drawing.

Did you try clearing the manual entries before applying the Revision Block? Not sure if that will reset the link, or if it's permanently broken after a manual entry.

Seems like the connection is broken if I've edited the REV attribute before adding a title block, and not restored unless I RESET the attributes, which wipes out all of the other attributes as well as REV
