DRAFT goes wrong / any way to automatically smooth out lines to curves/arcs ?

I'm trying to make a 30 degree angled "wall", I modeled just one other drawing and it worked ok using the DRAFT option, but in this case the draft is not doing what I want in the corners of the drawing, the other sides are ok, but the corners are not.

Also is there a way to automatically transform straight lines with many segments, or curves with many segments and convert them to one/multiple curves or arcs ? The drawing is an imported DXF, in other software I use, I have an option called ARC FIT and it does reduce the number of points a lot, is there any similar option in Fusion ?

Mark, I did the redrawing using lines and arcs only (no splines) in Fusion (not in another software),  based on the 3D shape, I know it wasn't symetrical, but that was the file the client sent me, as the error was quite small it didn't bother me, now I will try to do the symmetry as you did, to see if the draft will work.

Thank you both for the screen cast, I'm looking right now on both video

@ovisopa Make sure you add tangent constraints between all the curves. And add the small fillets to the solid extrusion to keep the sketch as simple as possible.

Mark, I just want to say THANK YOU again for helping me out. Today I dedicated my day to Fusion, as I needed to figure out how I can quickly generate the 3D model, with the tapered wall to 30 degree, I needed to make some parts on the mill for my main client, weeks ago, but didn't mill them only because I always have problems generating the draft on the walls, and always chose to do other things on the router (this client sends me new files every day, mostly to be cut on the router, but from time to time also steel parts).

Today I watched you first screenshare again to see if I missed something, as even after drawing the sketch in Fusion, I still wasn't able to apply the draft, the first thing I seen was that you made a NEW COMPONENT to do the redrawing in, I tried  like that hoping to be the fix.. but it didn't work 😞 .. Than seen your other screenshare that shows a new method (which I completely forgot about!!!) .. and it seems this is the solution for me. I Tried to draw again, the third time, and I also recorded while I was drawing, and still wasn't able to angle the wall using the DRAFT command, but than I seen the video with the alternative way to make the wall angled using the tapered option when extruding the model. THIS WORKED LIKE A CHARM !!!

THE BEST SOLUTION (at least for now) IS TO DO THE TAPPER WHEN EXTRUDING, AND NOT USING THE DRAFT COMMAND (which failed everytime)

Here is the screencast with the method I used to redraw the sketch, after seeing that even after my third try I still couldn't do the DRAFT, I decided to post back in this thread to ask you again, to tell me what I did wrong, but than seen the video with your alternative method of making the wall tapered 🙂

Now I will model all the files that I needed to mill, but postponed as much as I could, because of this issue, if I will have any problem I will post back.

Wish you a good day !
