I recently forked a document, saving a version at a crucial design stage, then moved on with all new work under a new revision sequence using the "save as..." version version of the fork, rather than the "original". In that process the comments I had stayed with the original version. The new version has no comments. So it appears you lose comments in one fork if you fork a document.
Comments need an upgrade in Fusion. They are currently not selectable, savable, editable, or exportable. Right now they're not good for much.
I think better comments would be welcomed and used, and could also be an important interface/data source for a production information system.

Sorry, bin there, lost that. I've lost so many post, notes and comments over the years. I now write first in word, save file, cut and paste to post. Pain in one's but, but I have a great document history to look back on. Yes I said but twice
Hi Cloudbase9,
Thanks very much for your feedback. We are always looking to improve the product and can only do that with the feedback from our users.
Regarding the "forking" issue, as you know we don't currently support the ability to carry the comment history forward but I've added that along with your other suggestions to our internal database.
Thanks again for reaching out.
Regards,
