Dimension constraint issue

Good afternoon

I have been struggling with this issue for most of the day and I'm sure it's a simple fix.  I have redrawn the sketch many times, re-calculated my parameters and re-booted my PC - all to no effect.

The file also attached - this is my first dabble into parametric design and first 'large' project so may not be as tidy as you'd expect!

I have drawn the sketch on the side face of the base, and every other component has the same dimension.  The issue here is that when I dim between the origin point and left handside edge of my rectangle it is not aligning with the rest of the components (it's -2.9mm out).  I'm sure this is a simple fix but as I said, I've spent a fair amount of time trying to solve it to no avail!  I am hoping one of the hive mind may be able to help!

Thank you in advance

Hi @rebecca.shillito

It looks like your origin for your bottom drawer origin is off from the rest of your origins.

Hi,

project the body instead of re-sketching.

This way you avoid mistakes.

Thanks @kgilham

My next question (and I have tried looking for this already!) is how do I move the origin back again?

Thank you so much - I have no idea how I even moved it in the first place!

Cheers

I've just used the move component with point to point - but is the best way?

Probably not.

I haven’t got access to the file till later, but there should be a Capture position in the timeline when it moved, Delete the new move, then delete the relevant capture position.

Might help....

Hi @rebecca.shillito

It looks like you moved and saved a position right before your sketch.  I've highlighted it in the picture below. If you just delete that saved position it won't fix your sketch but if you delete that feature and create a new sketch it should fix your problem.  That being said your way works as well 🙂.
