Am having difficulty setting up a series of joints as in the image below.
A and B are revolute joints.
D is a rigid joint connecting the beam containing c' to a "lid" which is horizontal and not attached to anything.
I would expect to be able to set up a joint between C and C' and for the system to connect up. Either because the lid flies off an comes around to join at C. Or because The joints at A and B rotate allowing C' to move up to C.
Neither happens. Instead the joint D disassembles and C' flies down to C.
This is just one scenario of many that I've been having all day, trying to approach this system in different ways, from different angles. (This example is simplified beause have taken the "hinges" of the lid out of the equation.)
Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
(Was unable to find any help files dealing with setting up a series of joints in a chain, or a circular chain.)
