Difference Between Free and Paid Versions

Excuse me if this has been asked before but I could not find a current answer to this question.

Are any functions limited if using the free startup version as opposed to the paid subscription.

Although I am fairly impressed with what I see in Fusion 360, I have noticed some things that are lacking, so I wondered if I was missing functions because I have the startup version.

If I recall correctly, there's no difference except probably online support and cloud credits.

In particular, what features are missing if you don't mind sharing cause then probably the forum members and Autodesk employees can update you on the status of those items.

A few things of the top of my head, but it could just be that I am too new to know for sure if things are avaiabe or not - but I have not found the things i mention.

1. Limited resolution when render saving (72ppi).

2. No special symbols in drawings.

3. No tables in drawings or ability to insert a spreadsheet.

4. No drawing breaks in drawings.

5. Can't create own drawing template.

6. No tangent assemble in model space.

Hmm...I can answer some of it,

1. render saving as in from cloud render or native render?
2-5. yeah, drawings is severely lacking right now which in my honest opinion, considers it as unusable. Some of those things you've mentioned is under development but I have no idea how is it going and when can we see a glimpse of it.
6. Tangent assemble? Care to explain more about this, or you're referring to placing a component on a tangent of another component? Something like a 2D Sketch Constraint: Tangent?

There is no difference in functionality between a Startup subscription type and Fusion 360 Ultimate. In other words, you get all the features in Fusion 360 Ultimate with a Fusion 360 Startup subscription.

As @O.Tan mentioned, functionality that you are looking for in Drawings is in development.

@Anonymous Thanks for your interest in Fusion 360. As far as drawings are concerned, we are working aggressively to fill out the toolset. Here's our short-term roadmap, to give you an idea of what will very soon be available.

September Fusion 360 Update:

• Centerlines
• Centermarks
• Restore dimensions to default
• Bottom-up parts list sorting
• Balloon Alignment
• Balloon Renumbering
• Increased performance (infrastructure improvements)

November Fusion 360 Update:

• GD&T Symbols: Feature control frame & datum identifier
• Shaded Views
• Exploded Views
• Version control for design reference
• Control over trailing 0's in dimensions
• Text property editing

We have an extensive roadmap that we are working against, and things like breakout views, additional symbols (welding, surface finish, etc.) and custom templates are all items we will be tackling early 2016.

The roadmap looks teriffic. The things you have listed (and seemingly not too far down the road) will be most welcome and help make Fusion 360 a good contender for the engineering workplace.

I look forward to getting a better handle on this, new to me, software and will contribute however I can.

I'm using the educational version and symbols like countersink and counterbore are all missing. Is this intentional?

@Anonymous  Can you get a screengrab of what you see on your dimension or text dialog. Use the Insert Photo option don't attach.

They are not there, they are only available if you edit a dimension or text for a leader.
