Design Space Rendering Brighter

Recently I updated fusion and after restarting I noticed all of my parts in the design tab seamed a lot brighter, so much to the point when I have a part with the appearance "Plastic - Matte (Black)" it looks more like a dark grey, when previously they were black. This can be seen with the black parts here:

and how it looks now can be seen here:

The brightness can also be seen here:

The parts used to be a black (as that is what the material is set to), but now are grey.

I have tried restarting fusion, I checked to make sure the appearances were downloaded, and I messed around with graphics preferences and environments, but none of those changes appeared to fix this, is there a way to fix/adjust this?

Upon another inspection, the parts shown in the comparison are the black that I want them to be, the whole view is just brighter, which I can work with, still isn't ideal, so if there is a way to fix that it would be appreciated.

With the 3rd photo, that part still wont show up black, no matter how much I have messed with both the appearance and physical material.

And if I switch to render it shows up correctly, so why does it not show up black in design, when it did before?

I am having this issue too, I find it very distracting, as it brightens everything to the point ambient occlusion almost doesn't exist anymore, makes everything look like it's neon, and the colors no longer match what they should be in the appearances tab. And black is completely butchered, too.

Update: Turns out this is a deliberate ""feature"" of the latest update:

Finding issues with visibility here as well. What are people's 'Graphics Preset' set to? I have changed mine from Performance to Quality, and it has brought back harsher shadows, improving visibility slightly. Not totally a fix as colours still appear off, but I can now distinguish between object faces without the need to hover over the body...

Same issue here, also from 3D PCB rendering from electronics. Now the green color of the PCB looks like an irreal fluo-green.

If I turn on shadows, there is a light that come from above that cannot be moved.

I'm experiencing the same issue. What might be an improvement for some is a significant step backward for others.   We need to have a way to adjust brightness and contrast in the design workspace.
