Hi Guys

I am trying to design a cabinet with half round doors. I know how to cut an access using extrude commend but how can I draw a door to fit along a curve.

For some reason the URL below does not work when I paste into URL but the link below works fine

There are at least a half dozen ways to do this.

I would

 - use symmetry about the Origin

 - fully define each and every sketch

 - probably offset surface, trim and Thicken

 - sweep boundary

As has been mentioned, there are various ways to create a curved door.  I am a fan of laying out the door in a flat form and then bending it to the curve you need.  Using this method you can easily design the door features you desire.  The bending is done using some of the sheet metal tools in Fusion 360.  In the Screencast I describe my design parameters as I go along, yours may be different but the process is the same.  The key thing is to keep straight which surface are which and place the sketch on the right plane and extrude your door body on the correct side.

When you are finished the door, you can use a Revolve Joint, using the inside curve of the door and the initial sketch on the cabinet, to locate it in place.  Model is attached.

It has been a few days and I am curious how you feel about my solution for your curved cabinet door?  I always look for feedback on my solutions as I need to grow and improve just like you.  Take a second and let me know.

Hi John

Sorry for the late reply but I have had slow internet speed over the last few days,

Again your explanation was very interesting and will help me a lot so thanks again.

Do you know if there is anyway I can download your screencast to review offline as this would be very useful

Hear is the link to the Screencast as you requested.  It is also attached as an MP4. Unlike the Screencast, a MP4 does not show the key stroke chart below the video.
