I'm just trying to think of ideas for things I can design but I have no design Brief or any idea of what people want or need. Also sorry if this is on the wring board. Can anyone suggest something I could design or at least suggest some kind of brief

Just for practice? I would like it if you would design a weapon to destroy rough German robots.

Brief:

1. Shall utilize Jello as projectile, to make all the robot's parts sticky.

2. Shall be powered by target's fear.

3. Shall fit within standard US Army backpack.

I guess it depends on your current skill level. Maybe the Jello gun is too ambitious right now?

How about something like a Jewelry box? Like what a ring or a watch would come in. Gives the opportunity to work on some basic shapes, learn about the proper use of Components and Joints, etc.

Okay, let's give you a learning challenge...

How about this for a brief...

1. Outer shell, both lower and upper half, shall be of two Components constructed in the Model workspace. Upper half shall be rectangular around the bottom edge to match the lower half, but shall have a slightly domed top.

2. Bottom half shall be Grounded. A third Component shall be made to represent some sort of hinge. This shall be Jointed to the lower half Component.

3. The top half Component shall then be Jointed to the hinge also, such that it can then be rotated opened/closed.

4. Inner "platform" (to hold up the watch/ring in an attractive presentation) shall be a fourth Component that fits into the lower half of the outer shell, but shall be made using the Form tools. Should be reasonably recognizable to us as serving the intended purpose of holding the watch/ring.

Edit: Ask us Germans. We can build anything but air ports 😉
