Design a sphere and attach to a body.

Trying to add a 1.25" sphere to the end of this project.

When trying, the entire screen turns red.

Need help to figure the sphere command out.

See attached drawing.

Where exactly are you trying to attach a sphere? At the end isn't really giving enough information.

At either end toward the top of the curve and centered so it is connected to the body enough to support it.

Will use as a massage tool.

Is it turning red like @g-andresen has shown? If so then just change to join or new body/component as opposed to cut.

Is this similar to the issues you are having?

Hi,

Basically I refuse to help with the modelling of weapons, whatever they may be.
Unfortunately I did not open the file and the term was unknown to me.
So I fell into this "trap".

The sphere primitive is quite useless for accurately placing and is not parametric so design edits will break its position. If you want to accurately place a sphere create a plane in the correct place then draw a D shape and create a revolve. You will be able to create the plane and sketch parametrically so edits will not break anything.

Yeah, what @HughesTooling  said.

I have a few suggestions, in addition to sketching the sphere shape and revolvning, and not using the sphere primitive-

-Don't use the move tool.  There are few circumstances where you should use it, and this isn't one.   Getting in the habit of using it will cause you problems as your designs get more complex.

-take advantage of symmetry. both left and right, but also up top and bottom.

here is a screen cast incorporating the things @HughesTooling said and my additional suggestions.

In this case the OP is turning a weapon into a non-weapon, unless fighting massages is the latest type war Smiley Happy

Hi @chrisplyler  &  @etfrench ,

don't hide behind such weird slogans but talk factually about content.

Thanks for responding with you opinion.

I seriously agree .

It was my mistake for naming the drawing as a Massage Tool.

The sphere was created next to the Massage Tool then moved into position and combines.

Looks great.

It's in Cura 4 now. Will print later.

See attached design.

Thanks for the tip.

If stating what I would not help model is hiding behind a weird slogan, and you don't like that, then why did you state what you would not help model? Don't tell me not to do exactly what you just did.

Hi,

Just stick to the facts.

Where did I make such a statement?

 # 16 ... Don't tell me not to do exactly what you just did.

The OP indicated he was adapting a weapon (brass knuckles) to be a massage tool, which is not a weapon.  Changing a weapon to a peaceful use should be considered a good thing.
