I think the best you are going to do is create one drawing, for the assembly, and have one sheet, in that drawing, for each flat pattern. This really does not help you with your job.

to put multiple flat patterns on a single sheet, first create a drawing, either by going through the process with flat pattern, or the regular process (maybe you want an isometric view on the sheet also)
to add additional flat patterns to this sheet (admittedly this isn't intuitive-)
right click the flat pattern and create new drawing
under destination, pull down the menu for drawing and select the drawing from above (mine in the picture is literally named "untitled")
do the same with sheets and select the sheet-
wash, rinse, repeat.
here's 2 flat patterns on one sheet, you can put as many as you like-
