Cut a sweeped Pipe right where Bends are

Hi guys,

 

I created a mock of a part of my home / house.
I sweeped two circles along a path in the edges of the house as i want to place the Pipe - especially the bends - in the corner between walls and roof.

The long straits pieces will be aluminium pipes but the connectios need to be 3D printed.

 

The sweep is fine, now I want to isolate the BENDs.

When inspecting one of the attched pictures, one can see the transition of a "straight pipe surface" and a "bend pipe surface".
This is where I would love to cut / split them.

One can select the tiny "edge" between straight and bend, BUT i have no idea how to make use of the selected edge. !!!
If I could place a plane on the circle ( refer to Bend grey JPG ) - built by the edge - all would be fine, but no plane option ( to my mind ) does fit.

 

A simple delete of the selectable surface does destroy the rest of the pipe ==> no option.

 

Any good ideas?

I will try your solution proposal and also will try @TrippyLighting 's solution proposal and will feedback, which one to me feels most comfortable - i will have to cut like 10 of them, so a bunch of clicks to do.

Hi @TrippyLighting and @g-andresen ,

 

I decided to use Günters proposal.

 

Reason is very simple:

In my attached Fusion file - also in Günters Video - you can see the body "Innen-Flansch".
This one already is a second ( sweeped ) pipe that fits into the inner of the first ( outer ) pipe.

It is placed inside the bow-pieces and shall function as inner-connector, so the Aluminium pipe can slip over it.

 

The "Rohr-Rund" and the "Inner-Flansch" can be CUT bei Günter's way IN ONE GO - make is easy !!!
The cutted Flansch surface can be extruded in one Move - see the gray face.

THIS IS EXACTLY what I wanted to have.
