Custom Thread missing

Hello,

I'm not sure, but it looks like there is something wrong with the support of custom thread in the last Dec20 update of Fusion.

Even moving my customized files manually in the right folder, Fusion360 don't read them...

Is there something new, eg a syntax analysis feature, skipping wrong files?

Many Thanks

Could you share one of your custom thread XML files?  You probably will have to zip it.  When Fusion 360 has an update, it creates a new Configuration folder, are you sure you are using the latest?

It's working ok for me here. There have been three updates in quick succession over the past couple of days: one feature update and a couple of bugfixes. As you obviously already know that when Fusion gets updated it creates a new folder and moves all the thread data files to this new folder (except for any custom thread files). However with some updates it creates a new folder but the files are not moved. I'm guessing they only get moved if it's a feature update. Are you sure you're not moving them to a 'bugfix update folder' rather than the most recent 'feature update folder'? It's a bit of a pain to keep moving your custom thread files manually every time there's an update so I use the ThreadKeeper add-in. Have you tried this out?

If this answers your question please mark the thread as solved as it can help others find solutions in the future.

I've created a Windows application (and now Mac as well) for creating custom thread files for Fusion. You can find out about it here. Hope you find it useful.
If you need to know how to offset threads for 3D printing then I've created a guide here which you might find useful.
If you would like to send me a tip for any help I've provided or for any of my software applications you've found useful, you can do this via my Ko-Fi page here.
