Creating multiple flat patterns from a single model file.

Can anyone tell me the correct workflow so that I can create multiple sheet metal flat patterns from a single Fusion file. I am trying to create a set of stairs bent from 1/4" steel plate but this has to be done in several parts so that they fit the sheet size. Fusion keeps telling me that I  have to create multiple components to do this but when I try that it says that function is not supported in Sheet metal. Any ideas?

Thank you

Alex

Did you create the parts as Components

or

did you try to Convert to Sheet Metal?

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

I started the first part as a component and then after that it will not let me create more . I have included the file if that helps. The different colored pieces reflect the separate parts.

I have converted all of your sheet metal bodies into sheet metal components.  In the same assembly, each component can have its own flat pattern so you get what you wanted.  Since you quickly found out you cannot create a component from a sheet metal body, I outlined the process on one of your bodies to demonstrate the process I used.  Do not get yourself into this situation, create a new component, sketch, then create a sheet metal body, and the flat pattern.  Repeat this process over and over and you will not have any issues and a lot cleaner timeline.  What I did was a crude recovery of your model so do it correctly next time.  Model is attached.
