Creating Artificial Bone Fractures

Hi,

I am very new to Fusion and have do not have much CAD background. I have created a 3D model of the knee joint (see screenshot), and I want to artificially create various types of realistic tibial plateau fractures to the model to 3D print.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to approach this, it would be much appreciated!

Regards,

Julian

Hi,

Great model. The only way I could think of to add a fracture would be to project the fracture onto the surface and

then make a split surface or some kind of extrude cut. You could possibly put the model into a dynamic simulation

and get stress points and load information but there would be an awful lot of data you would need to have to set it

up.

Maybe just projecting a real fracture onto the surface of the model and making it look like a fracture is the answer.

Fusion is probably not the software to do that but Blender might work?

Cheers

Andrew
