Creating a slot

Hi I am new to this, so forgive me if I post in the incorrect place. I wish to make a slot along a cylinder, can anyone please help me.  Ernie

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for posting your question in the Forum.

The "Slot" feature you are looking for is in the "Sketch" Ribbon. 

You might want to create an "Tangent Plane" on your cylinder and create the "Slot" there.

Here is a screen shot where you can find the "Slot" feature and how that would look like at your cylinder.

Created the plane and drew the sketch, but from there on nothing happened, what am I missing.  Ernie
