creating a hollow body and plastic loading

Good day,

I have modeled  4 pontoons that will be used to construct 2 hulls. I want to make the pontoon hollow to achieve the required wall thickness.

How do I do this in fusion 360.

Also the pontoon is of LDPE material and I want to check if loading on it will support the weight. Is it possible to do this in fusion 360?

Yes, hollowing that should pose no problem. It depends to a degree on how you have modeled the thing. If you can share your design I'll take a look at it.

Load, or in other words static stress simulation is possible wth fusion 360 but I have no experience with that in Fusion 360. Others should be able to help you with that.

when you say support the weight, do you mean will it float or will the pontoon collapse?

Also no need to double post

Before continuing with your design you should watch all the videos in the Learn section.

You are clearly missing some key concepts.

Once done with that you should know what the difference between a body and a component is. Then you may want to take a look at this sticky post.

Afterwards you'll appreciate that you have some more work to do t clean this up 😉

The shell command is your friend.
