Hi,

I am hoping someone can help me.

I am trying to make a flat pattern from a cone and nothing I try to do is working.

Maybe it is the way i have drawn it, I am learning bit by bit, but am totally stuck with this one.

I have attached my file to see if anyone can help me. please.

Kind Regards

Lofted Flange

Sketch1 is not fully defined?

Cut edges not perpendicular to the flat?

Surface body?

Edit the Sheet Metal Rule to the desired Thickness.

Edit the Rip parameter to desired gap.

I have created a quick Screencast to show the process.  Everyone has their own method of creating the slit in the side, I use a sketch arc.  Other than that, the new Lofted Flange tool makes it a snap.  Model is attached I used in the Screencast.
