Hi all,
I'm trying to create a Translucent as opposed to transparent material. I want to do this as a material rather than an appearance, as I also want to set refractive index, density, absorbance if possible and other properties. In fact it's particularly useful in my case to have refractive index, subsurface scattering and absorbance all taken into account during raytracing.
I have three issues then;
1. I can't find a MATERIAL of type "Translucent" to duplicate and edit
2. I can't change the material type in Advanced edit, ie: from Transparent to Translucent
3. For some materials no advanced edit window pops up when I click the Advanced button; Is this a bug?
I am using a student licence. Is this maybe a limitation of that licence?
