How can I go about creating a silhouette of an object in Fusion360? Like the shadow that is cast on the ground plane in the image.... is there a way to get an actual silhouette of the part without a bunch of complex geometry?
Thanks

A new command added in the last release may be able to split the model, from which you could project the edges to a sketch plane. The Parting Line Split command will take solid body input and a direction to split the body at a line which could be defined as the "silhouette". Try this out and let us know how it worked. I have had some difficulty consistently getting results so we would like to know if you had any problems.

Paul,
I tried the "Parting Line Split" command. I first had to shell the body. Then when I tried the command, it pretty much previewed what I wanted. When I accecpted the preview, it failed.
