Hi,

Do you think you could clarify a little more for me? Are you trying to sketch on the circular faces of the cylinder (the flat face) or are you trying to sketch on the rounded part of the cylinder? My guess is you are having trouble with the rounded part, right?

Hi,

Thank you for the quick response. Yes, I'm trying to make holes and add
some more design on the rounded part of the cylinder. Do you think sculpted
environment is suitable to my design?

Thank you

Hi,

Not a problem! I've made a screencast below that shows how to project your sketch to a surface, in your case the cylinder face. This is a pretty handy tool that I think works really well.

In your case though, there may be an easier option to create holes in your cylinder body. In my screencast you'll notice that I created an offset construction plane. What you might wanna do is create the circle in that sketch and then extrude it through the cylinder using the "Cut" option in the "Extrude" command. Attached is a screenshot showing what I mean.

Hopefully this clears up some confusion! Let me know if you have any more questions.
