I want to create an irregular polyhedra - something like this:
The polyhedra is not given by any exact dimensions or angles. It is important that it is easily modifiable e.g. by dragging points around. -to make it "look right"
My first plan was to create just one 3D sketch with some points. Connect these points with lines in the sketch. Select the perimeter lines of a face and use the Patch tool.-and finally Stitch all the surfaces to create a solid.
The problem is that points are not easily made coplanar. In the sketch, I can draw diagonals, add point on these diagonals and make these points Coincident.
The face plane points are now coplanar, but it is very difficult to manipulate the shape. I can no longer drag points outside the sketch environment. -the only way to move the points are with the Move tool inside the sketch. When I move one point, many other points(that on purpose are not fixed or constrained) also moves.
Is there a better way? Cutting away from a cube? Ruled surfaces?
