Create components from Bodies

If i create a body then turn it's visibility off, then select 'Create Components from Bodies', the body is turned into a component but is not visible or able to be selected. Is this a bug? It would be better to gray out the 'Create Components from Bodies' selection in the context menu if it's not visible in the browser.

@jruetenik

Did you make sure the little light bulb next to "All 3" the Bodies, body and the component are yellow?

Hi @jruetenik,

Can you provide a screencast of what you are seeing?  I tried a very simple case, and it seems to work as I would expect:  The component and the body in the component is made visible by the Create Component From Body command:

You may want to reveiw this post to see if you really want to turn bodies components into components.

It would seem to me that you used the cube (or whatever it's called) primitive in your screencast as I cannot see any sketches in the browser tree.

You may want to think about that as well.

@TrippyLighting

He didn't use the cube primitive I did, and the only reason I used it was for a fast test. I never use primitives in my work...I know better. Smiley Wink

Thanks for the quick reply. I have tested further and there is no problem. I must have turned the visibility off in the bodies section of the components.

Can you click the accept as solution button on the response that answered your question so others will know how to solve this problem?

Thanks.
