Create bars from lines

Hello,

I made a sketch with a lot of triangles and squares drawed as lines. Now i want to make square bars out of these lines.

First i was thinking about using the pipe command, but i guess because they are triangles and squares that are close that this command doesn't work.

I'm also uploading a screenshot of what I'm working on.

So this lines i drew in sketch environment would need to be converted into square bars.

When i go into create environment, i can use the pipe command but then i get the pipes but the are rotating pipes and i get strange 3D things. Looks like they are welded together.

So what i need it to give the lines an easy with of 2 mm or so (2D or 3D, 2D is also great cause i can just extrude).

Any help or tip is welcome 🙂

These bars are all intended to be in the same plane? There are probably many ways to accomplish this, but my first thought would be to draw the bars as a sketch, then do a simple extrude. That avoids any ambiguity at joining and transition points. Use Offset Lines in your sketch to set up the edges of the bars, trim or extend lines as necessary.

You can switch to Patch workspace, select lines, extrude them as faces, then thicken that faces to get solid bodies. See screencast:

Hello,

Ok this looks really good, the only problem is i get some errors.

So i switchend to Patch, selected all the lines and extruded them, so far so good (when i change the view i can see them extruded).

But when i try to thicken all the faces i get errors, so i tried some individual an some of them work, some of them gives the error you can see in the print screen.

Except the errors this is really what i need. a

And wow that screencast comes in so handy!
