Create a linkage to follow curve/spline

Hey there. Does somebody know a way to create a linkage system which precisely follows a curve/spline around a given centre point.

I can't really get my head around it.

Can fusion tell me somehow the function of the spline. that would be immensely helpful.

Thanks for any help

Hi @ju.ha.sch,

Thank you for sharing the picture.

I have created a screen cast for you how to create a parametric a spline for your design.

Here is the link to the design that I have created. Please, feel free to use it.

I hope this helps.

Hi @ju.ha.sch,

Thanks for sharing the link, this was very helpful.

Currently we don´t have a feature like that integrated into Fusion.

I think this would be a great enhancement request which you can post in our idea station here.

Another option would be,  to create the mathematical motion function manually and

then create your design which fits to your required curve in Fusion.

The joints which you can assign in Fusion will allow you to animate your design.

Here is a link to a YouTube video which shows how this could look like.
