Create a floor inside a cylinder, not at the bottom

I'm building a container that needs to screw to another one at the bottom. The floor of this container needs to be above the thread, so I  created a circle, offset it to the inside and created the thread where I needed it. Now I'm trying to add the bottom of the container, so I created an offset plane above the thread, created a circle there and tried to extrude the circle to go up 2 mm. But nothing happened, the program does not recognize this as a floor and nothing is created.

Please see attached in case my description isn't clear.Screen Shot 2018-11-04 at 12.42.00 PM.pngScreen Shot 2018-11-04 at 12.41.51 PM.png Apologies if this is a very basic question, I'm new to F360.

Thanks in advance,

D.

Should work for you, preparation sounds right, if no error message, that’s weird.

Hide the cylinder during the select process, make sure the circle is not construction Geometry, a close look at the photo shows two dotted circles,  Might work with just one profile.

try Revolving half your red rectangle,

either way, make sure all the light bulbs are on,  and your op is set to Join.

Might help....

@dca1978, can you share your model here?  It'd be easier to debug with the actual model you are working with.

That said, I was able to create a similar model:

Here is another way how you can create it.

Thank you guys.

I quit F360, created the same exercise in a new document and it worked. Then I did in the document where I need it and it worked too. It was a weird glitch.

The machine in which I was working during the weekend is giving me a lot of trouble, from now on, I'll try to use my office machine only.

Thanks a lot for your help everyone.
