Hi,

I am getting the following error (see attached image) when I try to create a drawing. Any idea how to fix it ?

Windows 7 64 bit (if it matters)

Hi Marcin

It seems that your Fusion360 installation is corrupt and some modules for Drawing are missing.

May you have a check if DrawingViewCompute.dll is really missing? Normally it should be installed under "C:\Users\<your-user-name>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\webdeploy\production\<uuid>\FusionDocStream\Autodesk\FusionDocAcad\"? If it is not there, you may fix this by reinstalling Fusion again.

Thank you very much for your answer. I will check if mentioned file is really missing from my system when I have a chance, but I have a feeling that it's actually missing (for whatever reason).

When it comes to re-installing  Fusion. Do I need to uninstall previous installation first? Or I can install on top of what is already installed ?

Take care,

Marcin

Hi,

Just for the record - I have reinstalled Fusion and everything seems to be working fine right now.

Hi

Great to know that your problem is fixed.

If possible, may you help me understand why this happened? Is this happened after a fresh install or a live update? Is there exception happened during the installation? Any clue on this would be valuable and helpful.

Thanks!

Hi,

I am not sure if I understand your question corretly, but I will try anyway 🙂

I had Fusion 360 installed for quite a while, but I wasn't using it much. During my initial installation I did not encouter any problems (error messages etc). Just simple and smooth installation process.

Lately (2 weeks ago - more less) I decided to give it a try and learn a little bit about Fusion. When I started the software I was told that update is available, so update was done and I started using Fusion. I did not have any problems until I decided to use drawings functionality. Then I started getting that message I wrote about in my first post.

I have installed Fusion (Control Panel - Uninstall software), then manually removed all bunch of folders (as described on your website) and downloaded and installed Fusion agan. And now drawing is working just fine. Not much else to say. When I was getting asn error message I also got a window asking if I want to send error report to Autodesk. I answered yes and I have sent it twice. If it matters. Hope it helps.

Take care,

Marcin
