Crash on startup

Hi,

 

Now for no particular reason, every time I start Fusion 360 it loads then crashes straight away.  Have tried rebooting, uninstall/re-install, etc.  It happens every single time.  NO changes made to my computer.

 

Any ideas???  Please help.

Re-installed graphics driver (was on the latest version).  Still crashes.

Did a full uninstall and re-install of graphics drivers.  Still crashes.

Hi Ben,

 

I note in the reports that you're operating system has been updated to Windows 8.1. Can you verify in the Control Panel when this was installed? I am not sure if Fusion 360 is compatible with the 8.1 update; however, I will verify this and get back to you.

I upgraded to 8.1 then founf that inventor fusion no longer worked. Smiley Sad

 

This was just after 8.1 came out.  I'll check on the date when I get back to that computer.

 

Fusion 360 was working fine on 8.1 from then until now.

 

I had a look in the %appdata%/Autodesk folder and experimentede with renaming out various folders.  Eventually I found a combination that worked. and now have it running.  I guess it may have been some corruption in there somewhere.
